Fresh vegetables are delicious, and form a large part of my diet.
Plant-based processed "meat substitute" products are dismal in comparison to the meat they seek to replace, and therefore are not found in my house.
It's not complicated to eat an ethical, sustainable diet with normal meat included, you just have to stop buying your meat from supermarkets. I get venison direct from local suppliers who shoot and prep it themselves - no abuse, no brutality, net positive impact on the environment (deer unmanaged will overwhelm the ecological system wherever they are because they have no apex predator to contend with).
I couldn't give up cow's milk, cheese, butter or eggs if you paid me but, like the meat above, I don't buy it from supermarkets. Local farm shops are the way to go (and my wife's colleague keeps chickens so we get the eggs from her).
