Gash. Always been and always will be. People complain about the contract Arteta was given - at least he earnt it, maybe not post contract (obviously) but what exactly had Victor done to warrant 4.5 years on a whopping contract ( 35k alleged)

I doubt anichebe's really on 35k, moyes isnt stupid

I really hope we see Vellios/Stracq but I sense it will be Fellaini supporting Cahill. Moyes would rather play experienced players out of position than play young players.

Vellios has looked a handful though so fingers crossed.

ok then clever pants, where does the myth come from that EFC is the place where youngsters are given a chance

Jack Rodwell, Ross Barkley.

Have you ever considered the rest arent quite good enough yet?

i dont know the criteria that moyles uses to make ANY selections. surely its better to play a lad good enough for the bench in his prefered position than a stand in striker. moyes took too long to see colemans worth, has rodwells progress been slowed by not being a regular? you can go back as far as rooney being wrapped in cotton wool ffs

I think Moyesie always gives youth a go when its warranted
As has been said, Rodders and Barkley, but going further back players like Gosling, Vaughan and Anichebe when he first came through

Am I the only one who doesnt get this whole clamouring to see Vellios up top on his own?
Im not saying the lad wont be a player, but i havent seen enough of him at all yet to justify him being thrown in from the start against Villa

i didnt see a fuss made to play vellios as a lone striker or are you expecting a moyles` 4 5 1 set-up. it would be nice to see straque and vellios start the villa game

nailed on then. vellios, straque and royston to start saturday because the cack that was blackburn and QPR was unforgivable

I just dont see Vellios as being that close to action really?

I think it'll be Straq up front on his own unless Louis is fit
