I said to that Coventry lad on here we’d give them £30m.

I told Robins that was your offer, that's why he's standing firm for the £25m. lol
Probably be so Everton that we give them 20 million and Simms then Ellis scores boat loads for them and this lad flops massive or gets a serious injury.

I'd like that if he hadn't already played for 2 clubs this season. I've accepted he's leaving, whether that's now or in the summer. It's unlikely we are going to push for playoffs so if we can get 20-25 for him now, it's great business.

He is exceptional but recently with O'Hare out injured he's been too isolated which really hurts how we play.

Gyokeres loves a counter from the GK and with Pickford's distribution, he could be a bit of a surprise. You'll love his attitude, him and O'Hare cause all sort of problems for defenders with their closing down.

On an average day, he'll can beat a Championship defence. On form, he'll have any defence in the Championship on toast.

I'm just happy King has taken over. If he hadn't, he would be out the door for 10 million if it was up to SISU. Now at least we're not complete push overs.

Do you think he would suit Dyches system?
100%

While he would suit a Kompany side, I think he would also suit a Dyche one too.

He’s a big lad with a very good touch and knows where the net is. Ideal for a Dyche team.

Again from the limited I’ve seen in the two games we played him this season. He stood out a mile. Without actually scoring in either game. And not many players have stood out against us this year.

Correct because Frank decided to give him 10 mins in a couple of games.

A strange decision but thinking about it now I think the plan might have been to force our hand to try and buy him. Can't see him coming back now as Dyche might want a look at him which is understandable especially if you don't get a new striker in.

In this situation I'd be happy for us to pay what might be over the odds for someone who might help to keep us up, but when I look at how Brighton have spent it's no wonder we're peed off with our board.
They got Mitoma straight out of the Japanese league for 2.5 million and Caicedo from Ecuador for 4 million. What are they worth now?

And while I'm here, how are Chelsea, for one, allowed to spend as much as they are and Everton isn't? Is it about FFP and if it is
what's the difference?

Other clubs earn more money than Everton. Thats why were getting a new ground to increase revenue and widen our FFP parameters.

Chelsea obviously earn far more than Everton, but without having the figures I find it hard to believe that we have spent as high a percentage of our earnings as them, and they're still looking to bring in very expensive players.

We've been selling, not buying lately, and what we have bought has been cheap, apart from Onana.

I wouldn't be surprised if Notts Forest have spent more than us, pro-rata.

The reason FIFA are looking at tweaking FFP rules because Chelsea are paying over the odds for young talent on long contracts but with low payments.

For instance they buy five players on average £50 mill each all on seven year contracts. They then pay-in instalments of seven mills year so have an outgoing of 50 mill a year to pay, gives them longer to look for improved sponsorships or cook books for FFP.

It was just so obvious that Chelsea were going to exit the Abramovich era in an even more privileged position than the last 20 years.

Imagine having 20 solid years of sustained success ultimately built off of corrupt money, then having all the debt written off by a terrorist's mate, and then as a result being an incredibly attractive proposition for a new owner who then goes on to spend half a billion pounds net in less than a year.

Yes, so fair.

Havent Man City got 3 sponsors of their training kit alone. OKX, leovegas and puma.

There are so many ways around FFP. Still makes me chuckle at people who genuinely believe its for certain clubs to not run up debt.

Its not impossible to break the mould, esp if you are coming to the table with lots of new money, like newcastle. But FFP isnt designed to assist the majority of clubs. Its there to keep a clique of clubs at the top.
