Don't see why Lacina could have been seen as a bad decision.

100% goal ratio per game for us, unfortunate to get injured.

Lacina been bagging since too, pretty sure he scored 4 in the first half of one game then got himself sent off for an early bath. Legend.

That's what's frustrating you have a top CB of the right age, all of the top 6 either don't need him or one is warned off over tapping up, we have a 34 year old CB that'll likely be gone next season, another one who's 31 and another who's cropped and likely will either be a squad player or sold next summer. Add our manager has signed him before and they had a good working relationship.

Why the hell don't we try our luck and get him in? Our GK and CB options will be sorted for the next 5+ years if all 3 want to stay. What we spend this summer is just what we'll be saving next summer that's how the club should be viewing it.

If I remember right RFM had an agreement with his club that he would get 50% of any transfer fee.
This was something that was arranged when he left the American team he played with.
Seemingly he got his place on the American team through a TV reality show
When we bid the 5.8 million and his club accepted we thought that was that.
RFM wanted his half the South Americans wouldn't pay so to legitimise the deal we had to give RFM 5.8 m

I doubt very much he was tapping up VVD
I reckon RKs agent would do that for him if required
