He is very slow. One on one defending he is very bad. Dynamo play a very high line. Everton or even any team can not play like Dynamo in the premier league. Not even Man City play like how Dynamo play attacking wise.

The Ukraine league is very poor. So Is the Russian league. He is has similar ability to Niasse who was bought from Russia.. Everton should not buy players from Poland, Russia, Serbia or Ukraine as there is very little chance of them adapting without going to a league like France or Spain first.
Racist :coffee:

Feel sorry for the lad, a competent manager wouldn’t have caused a situation where a young lad has to come to a new country, has language problems and instead of being given bench time and the occasional cup tie 90 minutes, he has had to go straight in as first choice in a shambolic defence which has little or no structure.

I hope he will be taken out of the firing line for a while by the new manager, or caretaker, because the new man won’t be trying to defend his decision to get shut of Digne.

He wasn’t a priority in our current situation, Neither was Patterson! If we were on 30+ points then fair enough just bad buying when we should of bought in other areas that are massively lacking on the park

Am I the only one who thought he looked fine?

I know he ballooned a couple of crosses over and passes to their guy.
But he won a few tackles, played incisive passing and I thought looked fine.

Let's remember who he's next too.
Give him a chance please

If he cost less money. I think Everton would loan him out to a championship club to get use to physicality.

To be honest he looked like he is, a young prospect currently out of his depth to be chucked into this [Poor language removed] show

It cannot be stressed how bad the Ukrainian league is. Some stadiums only have 1 thousand fans in on match day pre covid. The pitches are like Astro turf in some matches. If you put some of Everton's youth players into Dynamo starting 11. They would perform at a very high level. Most big teams do not scout Ukraine seriously as it is very hard to judge the quality of play. I believe Everton have paid x 5 times at the very least the amount this player is worth.
Thanks very much for your input - genuinely

There are some self-proclaimed scouts here like @Zatara who claim to have watched this player but they clearly know nothing about the Ukraine league as a whole

This guy has been linked with a few top European clubs in the past. He's definitely got some pedigree.
Maybe, but the statements about the quality of the Ukrainian league was certainly sobering to me

Certainly Dynamos record in European football in recent seasons is very bad.
