I know there is a balance to be had with being solid, but think he needs to try and get forward a bit more aggressively. Playing Onana, Gana and Iwobi in the middle means there is no width at all and he's too far away from the "wingers"

I wouldn't say it's a big part, but it is a part. Your left back is only one cog in an attacking wheel. The other cogs also have to take responsibility, such as the winger who can barely beat a man.

The wingers are nowhere near good enough either but when we attack our players look so isolated because we have so few willing to join in.

Agree so why Colman is playing and being more conservative, we should play the other lad on the left. He at least offers pace and threat going forward.

As I said last week, he’s not doing enough to justify a starting place but there’s no one else so he plays. Sure Frank knows we need more from left back if we want to progress. He’ll get all of this season as first choice and we have to hope he gets improves. If not, left back, along with the wide forwards is an obvious area for upgrading in the summer.

Yes, he cannot find a blue shirt if the pass is over 20 yards..... both fullbacks were under pressure today v a good side - the centre backs were brilliant, but with the full backs not supporting up field we are defending too deep - Lampard has to sort our attack out .....
