Ooohh.. you havent heard?Branthwaite?
He's a bigger loss than Onana because we didn't replace him. Was a handy back up on both sidesGodfrey would have been handy. Far from ideal (even though he did finish the season really well defensively and saved a couple of certain goals on the line) but would have at least got us through this sticky period. Already on the books, cheap etc etc. Would have been better to try and recoup a few pence for Keane.
The team we sold him to dropped him, stating he was not good enough ......He's a bigger loss than Onana because we didn't replace him. Was a handy back up on both sides
Did they officially state that? Seems unprofessionalThe team we sold him to dropped him, stating he was not good enough ......
That's what I read - yes - whether he has improved since that early statement ?Did they officially stare that? Seems unprofessional
He was a better back up at FB than what we haveThe team we sold him to dropped him, stating he was not good enough ......
Another who gets unfair stick. Was absolutely superb on Saturday. He’s an excellent left back and people need to accept him for what he is. He isn’t a Baines who’ll bomb up the left side of the pitch and score goals and whip crosses in. He’s a defensive left back. If you’re going to play a system with wing backs who you expect to get forward and contribute at the top of the pitch then you recruit one to do just that. We don’t play that system so he fits our needs perfectly at the moment. Let’s wait and see what system the next manager employs.
Were you there? Mykolenko was absolutely superb and wasn’t having a difficult time in any way shape or form. He dealt with everything thrown at him superbly. Anyone who says differently has a clear agenda against him. Perhaps your dodgy stream was breaking up?…not sure he was ‘superb’ on Saturday, he was having a difficult time in the 2nd half until McNeil switched to lend a hand.
I’ve always been of a view he looks much better when Branthwaite plays left side as he covers that channel behind the LB so effectively.
Were you there?
Agree, I actually put him as MOTM as Hutchinson is a tricky player with speed and thought Mykolenko nullified that threat superbly and stopped any hopes of Ipswich building down that side which they clearly set out to do 2nd half. Were you there? He gets tonnes of grief for apparently being crap. He is defensively very good. He had a knock during his first 6 months here and him and tarks have been playing through knocks this season so neither seem up to speed. But last season he was very solid. Makes me laugh when people say he wouldn’t get in another PL team.Another who gets unfair stick. Was absolutely superb on Saturday. How dare someone not go to Ipswich away. Were you there? Mykolenko was absolutely superb and wasn’t having a difficult time in any way shape or form. He dealt with everything thrown at him superbly. 3,000 fans allocation they filled the end brilliantly - Mykolenko had a good game then tired after no match fitness Dwight MacNeil helped him out - towards the last 1/4 of the game - in a very good team performance v a bog standard Ipswich side .....How dare someone not go to Ipswich away.
Dear me.
