2024/25 Vitalii Mykolenko

He's closer to that ball than anyone else and gets there last because he's scared of possession. Any defence of him at this stage is laughable, he's a hindrance and a liability. Worst player in the squad
The actual bona-fide closest to the ball in that passage of play was Doucore absolutely making a hash of striking a ball. Then Mykolenko made a hash of things while Tarkowski hovered around not quite sure where he was or what he was doing.

He's really not good enough but his silly little stumble seems to have pulled a lot of focus from others.

No it hasn't, check their threads. Only those threads aren't full of bizarre 'what about x y or z player' defences for a crap footballer

I thought he was good defensively for a while and had no ability going forward. Now I realise he has no ability defensively either. Hope he can get back the first and improve the second. Come on Myko!!

I see Tierney is back on the Arsenal bench, could be someone we could grab in the short term
Think we are already running a risk of having too many short term signings and contracts running down with players not fully invested in the clubs future.

Think in a years time (if we stay up) you could easily see 10 different players starting to those that started the last game.

Got the impression in recent months that the majority of players are unhappy.

Bringing in a player vastly, vastly superior in every single aspect of the game to Mykolenko can only be beneficial, whether we sign him for 5 months or 5 years.

Obviously a loan is a short term fix but the problem is so glaring, a loan would do if it’s the only option.

Probably. Just don’t see how it can be so hard to find a half decent left back wanting to play for us and willing to sign a long term contract.
