You may be covered under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 ?

I bought a second hand car a few years back from and independent dealer, with a one year warranty.

Two weeks after I bought it, the gear box blew up. The garage paid for a recon replacement, but not recovery costs.

Had someone sell me one these recently

Steve was the salesmen, it’s got issues now couple of days after the warranty do you think I could possibly go back, or do you think they may have beaton me on it?

If its a private sale & has sold as seen - then no - if it's from a garage probably yes ....
