Remarkable in many ways.

The stories of Shackleton in that great era of exploration are legendary.

Absolutely, Shackleton's endeavours tend to be overshadowed by Scott's.

I think this is unfair in many ways.

The manner of Scott's heroic 'failure' in failing to get to the pole first, and the tragic deaths, seems to tie in with a certain sense of British history.

In all the histories and biographies I have read of both men, I would rather have been led by Shackleton.

Chris Evans, DJ.
Is doing on online auction in aid of Ukraine.
Outwith validity of rights and wrongs.
Have a look at what the other half consider auctionable, and what the privileged think is worth buying, and most of all ,can afford it.

Absolutely

As an example of man management, the ability of someone to keep a team of men all pulling in the same direction long enough to survive two years stranded in the Antarctic Circle is pretty unparalleled in documented history.

Not even sure THIS is the place to put this but I had a mate a lifetime ago in Australia named Steve Myler. No, not McMyler as I just saw that awful crap. He was a great musician probably about 35-40 at this point. Massive RS but a good bloke all the same. I've not heard a thing from him in about 6 years, was wondering if anyone here might know him? He played in a local band there, I THINK they either won or were up for best local artist?

Dunno, everyone I know that knows him haven't heard from him in years.

Wow, evolution really is such a remarkable process! iBest article about vaginas that I have ever read ?

“The duck vagina, was hardly the passive, simple structure that biologists had made it out to be. In fact, it was an expertly rigged penis-rejection machine. But what about in other animal groups?

Males and females seemed to be co-evolving in a sexual arms race, resulting in elaborate sexual organs on both sides.

But conflict, it turned out, was hardly the only force shaping genitals.”
