I don't see the skull cooling rapidly after being buried under scolding ash. Anyone who's started a campfire the morning after, while the ashes are still hot will raise an eyebrow to this. Yes, there are bits of charcoal in a campfire but if your head reaches the 510C stated, I'd assume the bone acts as the charcoal, especially under that much ash.

I call BS and, yes, I'm an expert.
