Yep, added a little of what I did, by that I mean, on a Boomer, we maintained strategic deterrent and didn't get involved in conventional weapons disputes. Although, with our new SSGN project, where we load 144 Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAM) onto an Ohio class in lieu of the 24 nuke missiles, now we will !

meaning cooped up for months at time with another 100 guys.:P Away from the wife and kids, watch all the porn you want but as I undestand it no booze. Can't have everything.

150 other guys :P.

But yeah, you just about summed that up. Remember, then I went off to the SEAL team for 3 years with the ASDS and now I am teaching young impressionables!

As for the other just think one nuke would do a lot more than many tomahawks and no need to worry about collateral damage because there will be no one alive to complain.(y)

Not only that the ragheads don't like it up 'em just ask Corporal Jones who fought the Fuzzywuzzies.

Actually, all those Tomahawks couldn't equal 1/8th of a nuke, as each missile has up to 8 warheads each. When looking at 8 150kT warheads on one missile. Lots of potential damage.

This is a pic of the Trinity Nuclear test in 1945. This was only a 20-22kT weapon. Look at the 'ground zero' blast and compare it to a 108 tons of TNT explosion that was detonated a few days earlier for instrument calibration.

*Hint* It is at the bottom of the photo, just off center, to the right

All this info is in the public domain. If I was somebody who faked all this, I could do it using info I got from the web. But I am not. I would never tell my wife classified info, let alone post it on the web!

you sign forms stating you wont dont you.

similar to someone i know who worked at some nuclear plants here in britain.

the individual i know, never had access to anything dangerous, just information and plans, he did work on subs as well, in fact, im going to ask next time i see him.

the person i know did work at world famous daresbury, on the synchrotron radiation projects. but its being closed and the new plant built in oxford. northwest 'brain drain' has already happened. [Poor language removed] government. (sorry to digress)
