and theres me thinking it was the spanishthat had the main influence there, when all along it's been some kilt wearer stranded since '86 and deep frying all the local produce in his chip pan on a calor stove

They'll put anything in a cornish pastie, you name it they'll make you a pastie around it. It's one food that will survive anything. Safe.

theres a place in cornwall called looe ( i think thats how you spell it) its just over the harbour from plymouth.
i went there ages ago and remember a tiny bakery there which sells traditional pasties , with meat on one side and fruit on the other.
weird but nice.(y)

actually from what i remember its a flapjack, fudge, scrumpy, pastie and clotted cream scone heaven down there.

love pasties but have to say after a bad experience as a kid with a fray bentos pie i really dont like pastry much.
hence why i always break off the pastie pastry 'knuckle' and chuck it.

fray bentos = chopped dog meat in jelly with a splat of sick on top

as for mexican food , its fast becoming one of my favourites.
quick , simple , spicey , fun.the kids love mexican nights.
cant stand all the beany crap though , dont even get me started on guacamole !(n)

mexican is fighting it out with indian cuisine for the top spot but the diet in our household is mainly english or italian.

.

I lived in Plymouth for a while. I remember we used to get a pastie and a pint of milk for breakfast on the way home from a night out on the scrumpy.

Me to barman. "This scrumpy is a bit cloudy".

Barman. "what do you expect for 50p thunder and lightning".

Happy days.:D

we used to stay near plymouth every summer - challaborough bay and burgh island.

first time i ever had a sneaky drink - scrumpy - was on burgh island.
i remember stumbling down the island drunk and finding a golf club.
all my family were a bit ahead so i shouted "look ive found a golf club " waving it in the air, then i looked down the hill towards my family to see about 100 people who were watching an outdoor agatha christie play , all glaring at me in disbeleif .

the actors didnt look to happy - i had the murder weapon in my hand and had given the ending away. lol

get down to kirkby for the enquiry, wave the golf club cos i reckon thats what will end up there, as much chance of a driving range as efc

thats tex mex isnt it, it's different.

burrito's are a regular in the house of grecian, we all love 'em and i am the best here at fitting maximum filling in them and rolling them without spillage and splittage.

who says rolling joints is bad. saves me washing my plate.
