"Watch Classic Matches Again"

37 years ago today, a very tough FA Cup semi final with Sheff Wed with us missing Neville Southall, Kevin Sheedy and Gary Lineker, and losing Trevor Steven early in the game, but a brilliant Graeme Sharp volley in extra time just manages to get us over the line and into the final for the third year running.

This game was originally down to be played at Old Trafford but got switched to Villa Park at the 11th hour which was a lucky FA Cup semi final venue for us with three wins in the 80s and reaching Wembley in the Milk Cup there in 1984.

What I remember which you can see on this, is how the theme tune would start with live shot of the ground and then immediately after. It was dead exciting back then. I was in the ground anyway
Really did build up a lot of excitement towards the game, it makes Sky's efforts look so tame in comparison.

Only gripe I have, is no on screen score and clock while the game was on, but depsite that this was proper football and proper coverage.
