Yeah it was mate, I was buzzing for days going back to school. The Kopites’ didn’t like it when they were getting it back.
Kenny was a good and it was a pity he went off the rails. That’s typical Everton though!
Back then I always felt we gave them a game, from the 0-0, 4-4, 1-0 FA cup games, the 1-1 the season before ( Mo Johnston again ) even the game they won 1-0 with a Rosenthal injury time winner we should have won as Barlow had 3 one on ones, the game where we went ahead and they equalised 10 seconds later we should have got a draw but James produced a wonder save last kick of the game and we lost 2-1, the goal that never was when Don Hutchison scored and Poll said he had already blown the whistle. Luck always on their side and always getting the lucky bounce or decisions.
In fact the only time I think we've got away with one is the 2-2 where Suarez scored last minute and it was a disallowed. Boss seeing Gerrard make an even bigger tit of himself running half the length if the pitch to turn around and realise it was disallowed lol
Wouldn't mind 60 chunks of luck on Sunday along with 55 bounces that fall in our favour, 16 pens to us that aren't pens, 6 goals offside to us that aren't given as offside and 4 of their players sent off for non sending off offences.
Probably still only win 1-0 like but I'd take that now

Definitely mate, the amount of times they’ve spawned it against us with dodgy decisions or us shooting ourselves in the foot is unreal.
I work with lads from all over the country and even they say it.
There was even two jocks in front of us at the Rodwell derby when Suarez got him sent off, and they had tickets off someone they worked with. They didn’t support either team, they were working on the docks, but they couldn’t believe the way every decision went their way. They were converted at the end though!

A great day. Mayhem in the park near the ground. Our cup support in those days was bettered by no one. 16,000 Blues (on the same day that the RS couldn't sell out their 10,000 allocation for their cup game at Ipswich) taking up all the side opposite the cameras plus thousands all round the other sides (as shown by the celebrations behind both when we scored).
Brings tears to my eyes watching old film like this. How could the game have possibly ended up like it has?
