Watches

Are there any Dapper Dan's in this thread who like to stroll around town in a bespoke zooty 3 piece suite with a pocket watch attached to their vest?

And I mean not for a special occasion, but just because it's a Tuesday?

As @Bedfordblue suggests, it's value is probably more personal than monetary, but the fact that you have a really cool keepsake from 60yrs ago bought in Singapore is pretty darn excellent.
Kind of like that watch that Christoper Walken kept hidden up his arse for the entirety of the Korean war while he was a POW in Pulp Fiction?

Bruce Willis had go back to his apartment to retrieve it and, and ended up shooting Travolta on the crapper.

Just spotted this in a shop in the Cotswolds:

Never seen a Tag that interested me before, seriously tempted. Would love to hear any thoughts.

Been watching this guy for years. He knows how to sell a watch! He nicely describes that watch...

Here's another good write-up of a similar (not identical) model:

In general, that's a nice watch--and if it's the 43mm model then one thing I would note is that it is a large watch, so if you are honestly thinking of purchasing it, try it on first. If your wrists aren't very large in circumference, it will feel (and perhaps look) a bit awkward. In general, that's a Tag Model that people respect. Has a Seiko derived movement, which is a good thing in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree...seems a bit plastic-ey, but I've only seen photos. More of a novelty/collector's item than a watch to wear, it seems to me.
That’s Bio-Ceramic duncha know!?! 😆

Seen a couple in person and thinks they’re nice tbh.
If there available for £228 isn’t not too outrageous for what they are. That said I’ve not (yet) been tempted to enquire on availability when I’ve been past a swatch store that’s sells them.
