Watching in person in europe

I plan to be in Turin with my family this spring and wanted to watch a juve game as a family of 5.

Never bought tickets in a foreign country before.

Is there anything I need to know up front. Asking kindly for advice.

Mods move as necessary.
Years ago went to watch Madrid v Porto in the CL.
Doddle getting tickets just went to the ticket office the day before and he got boss seats

Went some years back. Was initially going to see ac v inter but the changed the schedule to a Sunday night so watched juve v roma instead. Bought them online collected them at the ticket office.
It was in the old stadium.
Went with some lads in the middle of winter. Couldn’t find any bars open in the city in the day, it was freezing and as cold as I have ever been.
Game itself was eventful, bit of trouble in terraces, loads of riot police and a bit of tear gas to boot.
Hit some clubs after the game on the river, all had to be woken up at 2pm by the hotel staff and nearly missed our flight.

...and you got some stories to tell...nice.

I've brought MLS tickets in Vancouver via the ticket office and tickets for an u21 Euro championships game in Cluj-Napoca by the same method. No bother.

I also investigated going to a RB leipzig game last year, but couldn't due to our itinerary not working - looked easy enough to buy online via the club website.

Weirdest ticket experience I had was on a stag do in Blackpool. A few of us broke off from the main group and fancied taking in a game. Box office staff were proper ratty accusing us of being Plymouth fans on the sly. Nope, we're daytrippers. They decided one lad was defo a Plymouth fan, demanding he unzip his coat and reveal any colours. Anyone with an ear for accents would have clocked. But no.

We decided they could shove the game. They were getting 10k crowds and if they didn't want the revenue, what can you do?

The crowd trouble in Italian football got to a stage that there seemed to be trouble at every game. Not helped when the coppers seem to go to the games wanting to have a fight as much as the ultras. They`ve made big efforts to clean that side of things up.

We went to Bayern Munich 2 years ago.
I bought tickets on their re-sale site. At the time, you had to become a member (free) but you couldn’t get the €15 tickets behind the goals because they were only for paying members of Bayern. Now you have to pay for membership to be able to buy on their re-sale site and I think it’s the same with Dortmund.
If we go to Germany again, might try and do one of the others like Hamburg or Koln.

I wouldn’t mind going to Italy for a game but always been put off by the unpredictability of their kick-off times and booking flights late.
