I'm not in any way a Wayne hater, but unless it was on a free with limited wages has to be a no.

We wouldn't bring in John Terry on massive wages, and for me this is similar. I know they're different players, but the reasoning is similar.

I know he's a blue, but his best days have gone and he's surplus to requirements at a club we should be competing with.

If he's as blue as he claims, his desire to play for his boyhood club would override his wage demands, he's probably got more money already than he can spend in his lifetime.

Not a hater.. after all he's excelled in his career which at the end of the day is all anybody wants to do. But we could utilise his potential wages SO much better.

I've got nothing against Rooney, but I don't really want him here, for reasons I've given before, but, if he comes on a twelve month contract / loan then that'd be acceptable, I just don't us to commit to paying him for any length of time.
