I suppose that's what happens to your aspirations when you lose your best striker and replace him with Rooney on a free.

He seems to think leadership means taking centre stage. Leading by example could be easily done by just doing the simple things right and let others do their job, stop trying to do it for them.As said by someone else he did create two chances today where we had potential to score. But other than that he's awful. He was dropping deeper than our midfielders. Needs dropping immediately.
Because United knew when to get rid of him, like a sensible club would. The simple facts about Wayne Rooney at Man United in the past four seasons:
2013/14 season
Rooney: top scorer, top assist
League position: 7th
2014/15 season
Rooney: top scorer, joint 2nd top assist
League position: 4th
2015/16 season
Rooney: 2nd top scorer, top assist
League position: 5th (same points with 4th)
2016/17 season
Rooney: benched and "injured", replaced by Ibrahimovic, Pogba and Mkhitaryan.
League position: 6th
Play him up front with Niasse. Sub him if he ever once drops into our half.
