I hate Rooney myself, but when you love something ( someone) and someone asks you a question, you tend to let all defences down and gush over them and at times reveal embarrassing things. No real shame in my opinion.

I think he made it up Bry and I see it as a pathetic attempt to convince doubters and reinforce those who already believe in his love of Everton. He might as well have said ''I've always been a boyhood fan and my dream was to play for them someday'' or some other Kopite soundbite. It was only 7 years ago that Ferguson left him out of a United side that played at Goodison because he feared the crowd would wind him up so much he'd get sent off over the brass scandal that was in the news at the time. Wonder if he had the pyjamas on that night or the day he slid and kissed the Utd badge. I'm not interested in cheesy guff that comes from his mouth or how much he loves us, I'm not very sentimental he'll win me over by scoring goals... like he did for Man Utd.
