Is that last bit a joke? Serious question. Drink driving, smoking, drinking, awful attitude. Great influence yeah.

I figure you're probably suggesting that because he won a lot of trophies with United. That counts for absolutely nothing for us.

Needs removing as soon as possible.

I mean stuff like this mate:

Players want to come to Everton because of him, players do look up to him because of what he’s won.

But fair point re: off the pitch, I should of reworded.

Good two mate! I wasn't trying to be argumentative.

I've read several times the likes of what you posted from younger players so let's hope he is a good influence behind the scenes.

I just think it's more important to have actual quality players in there instead of over-the-hill ones. Next season there can be no way he starts games for us as he's shown in the past 4/5 months that he can't even dictate against very poor opposition. It's then when I wonder how much players will look up to him, i.e. when he's sat on the sidelines not getting a game.

His position in the team is relevant if we put 2 combative midfielder next to him.

That’s how Pirlo operates at the later stage of his international career. With gattuso and de Rossi protecting him.

Not the end of the world if Rooney plays. We have enough players capable of doing dirty work. Davies Gana Beni McCarthy Besic and maybe siggy.

The only disastrous part is partnering him with either Schneiderlin or Klaassen. As good as playing with 10men.

Yeah mate, I know you weren't. All opinions, just mine is that Wayne Rooney probably still more of an asset than a hindrance. :)

Two of those players were already here.

If we need Rooney to convince a player to jib off Palace to come to us then we may as well all pack in and go home now.

Until Ronaldo rocks up at Finch Farm saying he cant wait to play with his good mate Wazza I am going to put all these articles down as just words.

Wayne played well at Swansea so let's hope he can get back amongst the goals too...

Like the fact that he is helping out our young players he clearly loves being back where he belongs...

Agree with you there Marcus. A small blip against City aside, he's been pretty great this season. Certainly he and Schneiderlin had good afternoons vs Swansea.

Ok, point taken about players coming here although I think Walcott referenced him too. My original point was about his experience and the value that might add. I’m not advocating he plays as much football as he has this season moving forward, but I don’t want him turfed out either.
