That’s almost certainly what’s rubber-stamped the move. People were trying to convince themselves it was all about getting rid of Allardyce, but it never was. It was about him wanting assurances over playing time. We’re not in a position to be offering out guarantees like that to anyone who’s just been involved in that cesspit of a season.
