To be fair Mikey I beleive we have started acting like it mate.

Obvious improvements over the last month show this.

A few more wins would be nice like.

Not sure the 'improvements' have been all that obvious.

Sure we battled hard against West Ham and showed some strength in character but then through all that away against WBA.

We are in a relegation battle and I'm worried that our fans, players and especially our manager think we're too good to be in it.

Well we aren't shipping goals left right and centre which is the first thing to sort out.

Sort out the actual scoring of goals and we're 10th.

Rejoice.

He wore the armband a lot as a player so is probably quite driven and a good motivator, he will probably motivate villa out of relegation trouble, but that sort of thing is only good for a short term effect, especially when the man giving that effect has the intellectual capacity of a walnut

Short Term is how it will effect Everton though

You'd hope that if we do survive this season, we'd be more secure next year after having the kick up the bum from being in the mire this season

This is why his appointment isn't great for us right now

Next season he may indeed burn out, but for right now he poses a genuine threat to our Premier League safety

Yeah having Stones back has been a real boost,12 games him and Jags have played together and one defeat.

Exactly. Prior seasons mean nothing when you're fighting the drop

we aren't in a relegation battle IMO but we aren't far off being dragged into one. 5 points at the bottom end of the table is a fairly big gap as all 8 teams below is would have to win twice to close it...which wont happen any time soon

We're awful, truly really bad.

And we've never dropped even below 13th. Leicester, qpr, burnley, sunderland, hull, west brom and aston villa are all utterly appalling teams. If you think that 5 of them can overtake us, be my guest but I don't and I don't think even those clubs do.

Certainly I know a lot of sunderland fans and they're not following our results the way they track hull's.

I know we're all used to being at the top end of the table where everyone picks up wins and 5 points is nothing but down at the bottom getting 2 wins is hard and not a lot of teams do it, 5 points can be quite a gap.

Plus we have turned the corner, in some respects. We are grinding out results.

Alan Pardew has had Newcastle consistently in the top flight while selling his best players every season. Palace are looking stay up as a minimum. For their needs, he has the credentials

Sherwood didn't set the world on fire at Spurs but he was solid enough. Again, for what Villa need at the moment, he ticks the boxes

This is why both managers are good choices for the teams that have hired them. This in turn likely means both teams will have a better chance of staying up

While we still linger 5 points from oblivion, it's feasible the team's below us can put a run together, thus dropping us deeper into the mire

We are in the relegation fight or, if you want to exceedingly generous, we're on the cusp of falling in. Denial of this fact does not help in this situation. Neither does panicking. We need to simply accept it and put a plan into place to combat it. Turning Goodison into a fortress is something we as a fan base can do right away

i think its has been accepted, and we are coming out of a bad run, only the Chelsea have we lost in what 5 games, ok we're only gotten a point for most, but i point is better than nothing from some hard games.

we are 80/1 to get relegated, that's how much we are in the scrap. A tenner on that would ease the pain some what come May

800 quid, like fck it would, blown in a few days to help erase the memory of what's happened.

Then a serious hangover, come down, and a year of championship football to look forward to, 800 quid, pffft.

NO DEAL
