I dont think Chelsea are anywhere near up to speed. They were there for the taking.

It's an appalling system for us.

It is really shaking my opinion of Lampard that he's using it.

As soon as Gueye is confirmed I expect this to be assigned to the dustbin where it belongs.

System irrelevant when you have that front 3. How can you impose yourself on an opponent when you are so toothless.

This present system of three is not us and it's not that effective, as seldom do we have five at the back when we have to transition when the ball is with the opposition. It's alien to us and it's showing. We're playing it because of personnel, not because it's a tactical strength. Lampard is frustrated we dont have the people here to go with 4 at the back and 3 in midfield and said so recently.

We conceded yesterday because the players we have just cant work the system and we end up with non-defenders bundling over the opposition to hand pens and victories to them.

Stick to something you know about ! Imagine Lampard giving you advice on your job with no expertise other than an opinion.

It’s a horrible formation, the 3/5 at the back. It seems a really weak formation to play if you aren’t the team controlling the ball possession - which we normally don’t.

Just leaves too much of the pitch to cover for the two centre midfielders so they can’t either protect the defence or support the attack effectively.

Also criminal that we’ve got 6 first team centre backs in the squad. If we did play a back 4 we’d have 4 first team centre backs as cover. Crazy to be so overstocked there when we’re so light in midfield/attack.
