Fairly big if and not a risk we need to take. He's not a guaranteed starter, he doesn't vastly improve us and he could prove very disruptive. If you want him, you are welcome to obviously, but i don't want Barton in royal blue at any point in his career.

I'd prefer to keep the talent of Barry, Gibson, McCarthy over Bartons passion, thanks. Plus we have Barkley, you know, the lifelong blue.
If we measure players in passion, Hibbert would be starting every game and the Stracq would still be with us.

I agree with some of what you are saying. Although I think his time has past now, would have had him 2 or 3 years ago.

There will be people on here who will slag anybody off because of what they've read in the rags etc. He has done some stupid stuff in the past but who hasn't, in reality he's a fairly decent chap who is good at football and loves the blues.
