Weird things about the English

Yes they are weird in every definition of the word. I particularly find it amusing how they portray themselves as decent folk who believe in a level playing field, adherence to the rules and fair play. When in reality they are the most conniving , underhand, shameless, despicable group of people on the face of the planet. I point to their behaviour during the 1966 World Cup where it’s blatantly obvious to anyone with eyes that they have bribed officials to gain advantage in the tournament. And rather than be embarrassed and ashamed by their behaviour, they have the impertinence to boast about it at every opportunity.

What are some weird things you've observed about the English that you wish to share? Please elaborate as much as necessary.

Personally I get confused when I hear them pronounce "6th" like they've got a throat swollen full of mucous. They can typically pronounce 6 [ siks ] correctly but when you convert this number to its ordinal all sense of normalcy in pronunciation goes away. For reference, proper pronunciation of 6th is [ siksth ].
They vote in Tory governments for often than not. Would you agree to have your money diverted to the rich?
