Serious football chat? Well, I'll give it a go. I'm really aprehensive about this tbh. We should have too much for them and everybody seems in a good place, but i have a horrible niggly feeling. I, like you, really like Mulumbu and think we will have to play it fast around him and their midfield. Is Barkley out out for this by the way?

Are you saying you're not up for the fight? We don't need no sucka MC's up in here, boyo...it's the thrilla in Manila and those fakin' the funk are 'bout to get knocked the f out.

I've been to Tenerife. Went out with a girl from there & stayed with her folks (in a backstreet in Santa Cruz - prawns fer Xmas dinner ffs).... & we then went to La Gomera, which is beautiful.

I reckon Bobby has given the squad a great break over there.& given them some good team talk/inspirational stuff etc.

moan the Blues, do yer stuff & show us how much ye've enjoyed yer holidays

Its the new manager bounce thing I'm bothered about. Weirdly enough the Mulumbu thing doesn't arse me too much as I reckon McCarthy and Barry will be too savvy for him to get a foothold in the game without a similarly talented partner in the middle.

They are going to be right up for it in front of a partisan home crowd. They have won something like one in ten games at home so they'll be desperate for a good start.

That said they are a little short up front and have not signed anyone to come in and make an impression Should be a tight game but if we play like we can we should, should, take the points. And fourth place which will be good going into the derby.

Cheers mon. I sort of realised that I was doing the preview to the end of that paragraph and that's I'd gone far too away on a tangent. As with most things preview wise its based on actual events. But we've all been there haven't we?

Nice lid. Spanish girls are nuts no? I prefer the north of the island so have been to Santa Cruz a few times. Used to like Puerto de la Cruz and in particular the Orotava valley - just because its green and a change to the south. Ace when it snows up there too.

I met azula in Tenerife and haven't been able to get rid of her since.

I'm saying when everyone is calm and confidence is high and the team you play are 1 win in ten at home, thats when a horrible little voice at the back of my head starts reminding me of the last time i got really confident about Everton.

I know mate. I honestly think we will beat them as we should. I just get jittery with these games. Untill i see us in fourth at the end of the season, i wont shake the feeling we will bubble games we have to win.
 

^ Aye, know what you mean....but that 'cave in' feeling is of old,& is not a feature of Martinez's team...

He says, convincin' himsel' of a 2-0 victory.....
