That was a bonkers game, from the sublime to the ridiculous at times.
I couldn't understand the midfield set up, we had to defensive mids doing nothing, both having poor games by their standards and McCarthy summing it up with a bad dive. We looked much better with Gibson playing. Del was superb, a few wayward balls but anyone who can throw in so many dangerous balls has to start on Sunday.

Great win, though I hope we don't have a rollercoaster next weekend against that shower, lets put them to the sword!

got nothing against pulis, he does what he has to to be a success. but it is an indicator how football is more of a business than a sporting entertainment. it's all about the money rather than entertainment now - i mean averaging under 1 a game is really poor given the success he's had.

Just back. After very unimpressive first half and comedy of errors for their first goal, what a buzz in second half. Floated home. Can't remember us being 2-0 away in the league and turning it round like that! My lad was on cloud nine and seeing him basking in our away following was brilliant! Roll on sunday!!

Yes - but Stoke hadn't been a regular top flight side for ages, Crystal Palace were not going to stay up before he went there, and despite today West Brom look a lot more capable than they have done since they loaned Lukaku. When you add to that the rest of his record (almost getting Gillingham to the championship, getting Plymouth to mid-table in the championship) it is amazing he hasn't been offered a job at a bigger club - certainly he is better than the last two or three Villa managers, any Newcastle manager since Robson, and everyone at S'land since Reid.
