Well that’s just totally incorrect

we genuinely play abysmal football, nobody is arsed if we look like 13-14 Everton, but that’s not an excuse for slow, laboured and backwards passing

When do we get Brazil from the 70’s football?
 
I think one thing to consider is Ancelloti is trying to keep our best players fresh. Hes purposely playing a lineup to just do enough to get the win, leaving the better players rested for Man U and other upcoming matches. In doing that you take chances, but are trying to manage your players in a way that gives you a chance to not just win 2 of 3, but 3 of 3. I think we all could use a good 4-0 thumping at some point, but when you play every 3 days managing players is an important and under appreciated task.

No ones asking for ‘70’s Brazil’, what people want is our players not to just jog around giving the ball away. Not being second best all half to a dreadful 19th place team who are managed by Large Samuel would be great too. We’ve been far too slow and far too sluggish. Nothing wrong with wanting more than THAT half of ‘football’.
 
Realistically we only have 2 subs on the bench in Siggy & Allan. The rest are never going to be more than an injury time sub to waste time.
Allan will help break up any attacks they have and we need Siggy to have one of his rare good days to get us a killer pass to DCL.
