Osman wasn't dreadful last week. He was pretty average, but no way was he dreadful. You'd judged him before he kicked a ball last week so only saw the mistakes he made and missed owt good he did.

He didn't look so bad after McCarthy came on. Before that he was poor at best.

If McCarthy isn't ready to replace Osman then we shouldn't have bought him. Not yet anyway. He was playing every game for Wigan so it's not like it's a match fitness issue.

Disappointed to see Jelavic start as well but hopefully he can get that much needed goal. He got a great assist against Chelsea, to be fair.

Might have a little niggle of something and would still be adapting. I'm sure Osman will be out of our first choice 11 pretty soon.
