Want three points to get rid of the "Everton are slow starters" statement.

COYB. Getting up in a few hours to watch!

"Adopts vernacular..." BOSS DAT CHICO, and just to prove I actually read it, that snide side parting version of Scott Parker, Mark Noble, has never, NEVER, had a good game against Crystal Palace!
We expect to get the feck patronised out of us on MOTD and Planet Sky but not on here FFS.....not on here! ...(quietly weeps...)
Smash those East End blerts today Blue, C'mon.

Tasty that Mr Azul...very tasty. Did miss a chance to really ridicule the Big Fat Neanderthal who should be managing Barca though.

Really looking forward to this - our squad is looking really strong and well balanced and we have a manager who isn't afraid to change things mid- game. We are built to pass the dangles off teams at home and rip them on the break on our travels....I have to say the future is looking interesting and dare I say it, exciting.
Difficulty today is picking the starting 11. As much as I like Jela and he needs a goal like Noah needed his work bench, he would have to start with Lukaku today.....a bench period might just do Jela good, who knows.
Fancy total possession domination but a tight 2-1 win....with Mirallas and Lukaku firing a tasty Belgian double.

optimism is high now, and when the team sheet comes out, many will curse martinez selection.

Howard

Coleman - Jags - Distin - Baines

Osman - Barry

Naismith - Barkley - Mirallas

Jelavic

< **** off, starting Jela?! He cant hit a barn even if he is inside it!
<Osman ?! we are doomed, this game is already lost before it has begun!
< No lukaku from the start? Martinez out!

Chico, just well done.

I don't think RM can start Lukaku because it would destroy whatever confidence Jelly has. However, I hope he will come on.

Overall, I think we go to try and outpass an Allerdayce team - that should be a given. Now we go and score goals rather than pussyfooting.

Would we know the difference after 12 months of hopeless play? He's had his chance...more chances, in fact, than he should have been given.

It's Lukaku and Kone's time to stake their claims now. Jelavic is a professional. He should be sitting it out and waiting on his chance to come back round again. That's where we should be right now.

That feller has been mollycoddled way too much at Everton.

Agreed, I'm not so arsed about Jelavic's confidence when we have the chance to see Lukaku brutalise defenders like an escaped war criminal.

This will be the first real physical test Martinez will come up against as Everton manager. In many ways, this is his hardest game so far. Be interesting to see how we adapt and approach this one.

West Ham harder than last weeks game against the League favourites?

Dave is right. A professional footballer is not a baby, they have to accept the bench it's a part of the game. You don't keep a player in the team because it might upset him if he's dropped! If that was the case we would just go out there and play for a laugh.

We are not an under 9's team

You're right lad but I'll predict he starts with Jelavic... and Osman and Naismith for that matter
