How are people getting on with this one?
Like it a lot here - Some absolute epic tracks on it that are really obvious, but perhaps not the overall end to end quality of Lost in the Dream. Need to give it some more listens. It does have one or two conspicuously bad tracks IMHO - the guy is an absolute alchemist with his sound but there are limits. Third song sounds like something off a really terrible Bob Dylan album from the 80s.

Very much enjoying A Deeper Understanding. Saw War on Drugs in Austin three weeks ago with several mates who had not heard them before. All big fans now. Listened to this cut from the Lost in the Dream era KEXP broadcast earlier today.

Ive tried, many times, but I just don't get the Mick Head/Shack fest. Loved the Pale Fountains, but I just don't get it with him.

I'll be called a treacherous lickspittle but c'est la vie.....
