What are you currently listening to?

Been a terrible year for me musically, any 2017 must listens for me?

Specifically... @LocalNative @ste d' indica @coollino @johnnydawg68 @Clint Planet @Alio @mezzrow @summerisle @Baines' left foot @Encoder

But any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated ;)

Band/Indie-wise I've liked:

Japanese Breakfast - Soft Sounds From Another Plane
Alex G - Rocket
Phoebe Bridgers - Stranger in the Alps
Grandaddy - Last Place
Waxahatchee - Out In The Storm

Others include

SZA - CTRL
Richard Dawson - Peasant (great psychedelic-ish folk music)
Fever Ray - Plunge.

Check out Alvvays, New pornograhers, and Stars for sure. And definitely Manchester Orchestra.

Manchester Orchestra are one of my favourite bands jdawg, loved the new album. Better than Cope but still think Simple Math(s) is my favourite. Only gave that Alvvays one listen so I’ll give a few more goes!

Not heard of Play Money so looking forward to that.

The Manchester Orchestra is a big stand out this year

Latest Stars album ('There is no love in Fluorescent Light') is great as ever

St Vincent was pretty good

However the 2 most listened to albums this year were 'Melodrama' by Lorde and 'Stranger in the Alps' by Phoebe Bridgers - Both incredible

Play money is the song though lid. New Pornographers the band. Whiteout conditions is an excellent album. Cheers.

Listening to the Oh Sees new one 'Orc' a fair bit at the moment. Forest Swords 'Compassion', Jlin - 'Black Origami', Laura Marling 'Semper Femina' and the Slowdive album have been some of my highlights.

That's peak - actually thought it's been a rather good year for music!

Big ones for me this year were Wolf Alice, The War On Drugs, Japandroids, Pale Waves, Slowdive, Beach Fossils and Jay Som. Plenty more but that's what comes to mind immediately

Wolf Alice and War on Drugs didn’t escape me this year fortunately. Will give the others a listen though!
