I am listening to some rubbisb! My son, who has been listening to my CDs for years, has taken it upon himself to discover someone I like. Personally I am a blues fan, he seems to have interpreted country blues as pure country music and is following me round with an i-pad playing country songs at me by people I have never heard of.
 

the last weeks has been a bit of Harry Partch (combination of Beefheart, Moondog & Tom Waits):



the new James Holden (a name in techno-trance circles but check this out!):



Timothy Leary, one of history's true heroes along with Adenauer & Malcolm X, feeding Ash Ra Tempel some 'seven up':




and as ever loads of Psykovsky as I'm helplessly addicted:

Hadn't heard of this guy (or the album) until it's recent re-issues but its so good. Ambient, Jungle, DnB, Noise all in one.

Love the name and the artwork too.

hiya mate...never heard of him, gonna have it on later see what it does. The title If You're Into It, I'm Out Of It feels a little hipster-philosophy (i.e. I was into it before it was popular), but we have similar tastes, often preferring the hypnotic avant-garde over pop culture...and naming things is sometimes hard to do:
