The world would`ve been a much better place if Doherty had OD`d proper.

That's just mean. I'm not a fan but I'm not going to wish death on somebody for being a cut and paste version of several 19th Century poets.
It's not his fault the media/record industry indulged him as long as they did, either. I thought the Libertines had some decent tunes ,but never strung it out (no pun intended) across an album. Then drugs ruined them.
The NME basically willing him to die for years so they could have their own Kurt Cobain was really seedy as well.
Like that little gimp could ever be seen in the same light as Cobain. One of the greatest songwriters of all time vs some talentless little smackhead. The NME would've tried but no one would've been that stupid, I'd hope.
