Little known fact. Whereas Page & Plant of Led Zep took old blues songs and claimed them as their own compositions, whenever Cream toured the US, they always sought out Skip James and gave him a cheque for his royalties for writing 'I'm so glad'. Well played Clapton, Bruce & Baker.

Oh indeed.

Led Zeppelin were initially “The New Yardbirds” I think.

Cream however, were always glad to credit the original blues artists.
