Rumoured, yes. But they were a 3-piece, quite separate and distinct from the Beatles.
I never took the rumor seriously but when I finally heard the record some years later I was surprised that it didn't sound particularly Beatley to me, which made me wonder what the original basis of the rumor had been. It would've been more credible if the rumor hadn't been about Klaatu but, say, Big Star or someone like that.

Good band, the Beatles. I think they'll go far.

Big Star produced some excellent stuff in their time also.

It's been around since 2009 as a soundcheck version but believe this demo is about 05-06 (sounds that based on the vocals).

I've always loved the soundcheck version and think it's one of his best melodies. Just a reminder that, love them or hate them, you can't deny Noel Gallagher can crap out a song, not release it for 15 years, and it still be better than 80% of the tosh out today.

If im feeling in a boisterous enough mood, i like to sing this.

It would be nice to hear it, after a grand final win.It has been 25 years after all!

Mrs Thumpety-Thump blames me for Carlton's demise. I arrived in Oz in '99 and started barracking for them shortly after I started seeing her. Then it all went wrong.

Great team back then though, Kouta, SOS, Bradley and Ange Christou etc.

There was the salary cap breaches, and the AFL really went to town on them over that.I thought the blues were on the way back a few years ago, but then they fired Brett Ratten and replaced him with that cretin from Collingwood Mick Malthouse, who alienated nearly the whole squad, and undid all of ratts work. The blues have just been badly run for the last 20 years, but hopefully when things go back to normal, that David Teague get's the mighty navy blues back where they belong again.Carlton are a club of serious heritage and tradition, despite the past 20 years not being kind to them.

Parallels with the other mighty blues really!

Agree about Malthouse, should never have been near the club, just like Allardyce.

Young Paddy Cripps can lead us to finals hopefully. Whenever AFL restarts.
