What are you currently listening to?

Last few days i have gotten sucked into the rabbit hole that is Japanese alt rock/indie/metal. Have some really good bands, a lot of them seem to be all female combos as well.
Quite like this, got a bit of a Faith No More vibe about it also it's cute Asian girls in maid outfits so what can go wrong!!

No relation to Till I assume?

It's alright that, I think her vocals are produced a bit weirdly though. I feel her vocal on the chorus should sound fuller. Hooky though.
Ha - No relation to Till but I think she is of German background

I think she used to be a pop singer - but has recently branched into rock stuff.

Her E.P 'Paranoia' is a decent little listen

I think you can tell she's not from the same background as Hayley with the way she sings, her vowels don't seem that open compared to Hayley. Which is a more emo/pop punk way of singing.

Then again, Aimee Interrupter from The Interrupters was from a pop background and she's brilliant.

I think she would benefit from the guitars having a bit more edge, the vocals would pop a lot more if everything wasn't so nice. It's alright though.

Also it isn't fair to compare anyone to Hayley Williams like.

Completely agree - Most underrated singer in rock

Simply terrific. Another band from my college town, along with Hum, Poster Children, Braid, Castor, C-Clamp, and many other mid-90s bands that deserve more attention.
I heard Mike Kinsella’s solo stuff as Owen first, can’t remember how. He’s got gigs scheduled over here in April which I can’t see happening but I’ll go somewhere when they’re sorted.
