His mother was a musician & he played Oboe in an orchestra when he was a young kid .... I found an early live bootleg gig on Youtube of the James gang before they were really famous - wow - Joe was always going to make it....

He was on Sky Arts the other week being interviewed by the lad who was the lead singer with AC DC as you say the drinking has taken its toll but he's still got his wits about him.
