Very interesting point.Yeah I reckon it’s worth about 40k altogether. It’s got to the stage that even the missus can hear the difference!
I’m seeking that analogue sound and the ndx2 has given me a lot of that but I heard the nd555 in a shop demo and feel it got even closer to a high end vinyl source so with the 555 in situ it makes sense to go for that then the 552 and 500 a year or 2 down the line.
Using a 5m pair of Super Lumina speaker cable. It was an upgrade from Chord Shawline which was ok but a little toppy, though it is musical.Very interesting point.
I haven't played my RP3 in years listening to just CD on the CDX 2.
However I've just got the turntable back from Acoustica after they refurbished it and put a new cartridge on so started to play some of my old vinyl.
The difference is night and day.
Despite the fact that the RP3 is way cheaper than the CDX2 the warmth and reality from vinyl is so much better.
I'd never spend £12 K to upgrade to an LP12 but looking at upgrades on the turntable as well as the speakers.
What sort of improvement did the SL cables gives you ?
Using NACA5 speaker cable or something else ? I tried it and didn't like it as much as Chord.
