I brilliant album absolutely no doubt but not sure it's quite as good.
However I haven't played it for about 6 momths and will fish it out and play it again this evening.
Slightly unfair comparison because I only have Somethin' Else on CD.

The rendition of Autumn Leaves might be my favourite piece of jazz music.

I agree (Although I still love This is My Truth)

I remember it getting panned at the time because it was such a departure from the previous 2 albums with no string quartet in sight!
I love it though. Used to have the gig they played on the tour for this album in Havanna on DVD.
They did that song about Elian Gonzalez, which was a big story in the news at the time between the US and Cuba. Fidel Castro was in the audience as well!



Sounds way better as an acoustic imo.

Pretty much sums it up The chaotic mess is a big appeal to me. Having Wattsville Blues & Dead Martyrs together on an album sounds coherent but sandwiching Miss Europa Disco Dancer between is odd. Good odd though.

I'm tempted to get the remastered KYE but it's a tenner towards Lecy bill. Baby Elion or Found That Soul my fave off album
