Don’t laugh, but this is another killer version of one of my favourite New Order songs.

I‘m not in anyway a fan of hers, but her delivery is just mesmerising, it’s proper shivers up the spine stuff.

Ha ha. Brilliant. Loved the violins too.

How on earth did you ever find that.? I think the last 3 words I would ever put into a google search would be Sophie, Ellis and Bexter.lol

It’s really good isn‘t it !

I just found it by chance, when I was looking at covers of bands I like.

It’s one of those, that shouldn’t work, but really does.

Having a good band helps, and in fairness she does have a better voice than Bernard Sumner lol

I came across this in a similar fashion when trying to find covers of The Cranberries. It's not Dolores obviously but certainly watchable.

Yep, I'm definitely having that mate.
Good cover version and not only is she ace and a dashed pretty gal, she's also a staunch Socialist, which I have to say I was surprised at. Not sure why, but she comes across as really sound, no airs and graces.
Good share.

@COYBL25
If you're posting covers from nice, socialist Birds, I'll add this one.
Thing about Amy is, not only could she drink you under the table, beat the living daylights out of you, but she'd likely drop you a tenner if you were short and find you a 14/1 winner on the Horses.

You know mate, I’ve never listened to her before, but that’s fantastic.

I‘m going to listen to more of her, she’s got a cracking and unique voice.
Yeah mate, as you know, I'm not the one for the mainstream 'pop' music type thing, like yourself, but I had a real liking for Amy back in the day, as you say cracking voice and a great song. I almost stumbled upon her stuff by chance at the time, more because what I'd read about her, her views, politics, outlook etc, then I heard this song, probably what nearly 15 years ago now and thought "yeah, that's a voice and a song mind".
She used to sing Flower of Scotland at Hampden before kick off back in the day.
