Given how much noise there is around the price of vinyl it's great if you like a lot of that late 70s funk sound. A lot of it doesn't seem to have inflated in price the way some singers/acts have.

Crusaders, The Commodores ( early on before Lionel Richie's syrupy stuff became dominant) and a lot of Norman Whitfield style stuff is almost bargain bin but the quality of musicianship is exceptional.

If you can listen to the Crusaders in their first iteration, the Jazz Crusaders. I love Randi Crawford but they sounded fantastic.

Peripheral Vision is just brilliant to me... really really good... (again on Bandcamp!)

Have a listen to these. A new band out of Chicago with very little released. One for any Smiths fans.
