I was initially getting the cure vibes from the guitar riff but there’s definitely a bit of new order in there as well.

Yeah its shimmery like a Cure song, loads of New Order in that though. Can even hear plenty of Bernard Sumner in those vocal lines. That might be why my first thought was New Order because Robert Smiths vocals are so individual and tied to the cures sound.

But in terms of soundscape, completely agree.
