Just read an article about how Everton are looking for cash for the naming rights for the new stadium. As usual with modern reporting - alot of words were used, little said.

We currently know the plot as Bramley Moore. Will that stick? It's an area locals might be used to referring to already. Some might get a bit high horsey about the slavery connections, some just see it as a historic name.

I for one don't approve of using the name of a sponsor - I don't care how cash strapped we are. It's greedy, small time and stinks of desperation - even the horse punchers ignored the attempt to get every fan to advertise for some soulless, transient company buying favour. Even the horse punchers.

So I'll either call it Bramley Moore or just the Everton Stadium. What about yous? Will you sell out and be a bill-board for whatever grotty institute buys the rights? Will you blindly repeat a name the media will be obliged to use for x years?
