What are you missing most about the match

Considering we were having an average season, I can't say I'm missing too much about going to the match at the moment.

I'm certainly not missing the annoying loud bloke who sits close to me in GT4 screaming 'ANDBALL' everytime an opposition player chests the ball down or shouting 'FOUL THROW' whenever one of the other teams players takes a throw-in or 'WHAT GAME YOU WATCHING REF/LINESMAN' when an obvious decision happens to go against us.

There's just some things you just won't miss.

The ones in the Upper Gwladys St who come in 10 minutes after kick off, bail out 5 minutes before half time, rinse and repeat for the second half until they go 5 minutes before the end!

Not!

Apart from that - the feeling when we score!
Spot on and when they get up to go they stop in front of ye and watch the game .I reckon they go down early at half time because of the attraction of our beautiful toilets up there:oops:

Even that simple pleasure has been diluted now.

When we score you cannot properly celebrate properly right away, like you used to.

As was amply demonstrated in our last home game

Very true Mr K, it was so long ago I’d almost forgotten the diabolically negative impact of Mike Riley’s pet project!

The match was my excuse for weekends back home.

Land friday lunchtime, afternoon/evening in Liverpool, black horse pre match, decide at HT if its a piss or a snack because you deffo don't have time for both. Horse post match, fly out Sunday PM.

Honestly? I don't particularly miss the football, just the match day ritual. It's comforting.

That's basically my regime without the flying in and out, I get a delta up rice lane like

I was looking forward to seeing how Ancelotti shaped the side in preparation for next season.

Hopefully he's seen enough and we have the players him and Brands have targeted all lined up and ready to go.

Would be great if/when the new season starts, we hit the ground running for a change

Spending some quality time with my dad at the match, and listening to the certifiable loon who sits just behind me howl at the moon each time somebody misplaces a pass!
If you sit in The Upper Bullens that loon could be me, I howl at the moon about eighty times every game, more when Ghana Gueye played.

Wouldn't say there was one thing. Goodison is without sounding all "doughy eyed" is magic. I'am sure alot of us have many hobbies, interest and loves, but turning up game day at Goodison none of them come close. You kind of know you're part of something,an institution. I always pick up a vibe that can't be replicated and that's unique to watching The Blues. Yes Everton that's right,I miss you.
