Just finished "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. Found it really uplifting, bordering on inspirational.

I would definately reccommend this to all GoT members (apart from the Goat who I believe is reading the Beano)

Christmas 1993 edition bought at St Helens car boot, he's doneall the colouring:P

Seems like more of a Dandy man to me.

American Tabloid by James Ellroy. A kind of film noir mid-50's private eye / FBI type gritty novel.
I really like the hard boiled detective stuff. In a similar vein you might like Loren D Estelman (Every Brilliant Eye), James Lee Burke (A Morning For Flamingos) or Charles Willeford (High Priest of California)

Screw the e.books jim. Download all the Discworld talking books.

Great to chill out or fall asleep to.

Terry Pratchett - Discworld saga audiobooks + complete ebooks [mp3 eng][lit][htm] : Books > Audio books - Mininova

But download both

I am a massive Pratchet fan. Got all the stuff on most formats.

Sent him a link through PM to download most of the novels in PDF. Didn't get them through torrents myself because I can't connect to a torrent client at University, but that's also an option Monty.

Just did a run through Raymond Chandler. Going to read this and the next two by Ellroy - The Cold Six Thousand and Blood's a Rover.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'll give them a run in a bit.
