I like Dunc. I don't think keeping Dunc at the club in some capacity is wrong. He did not show enough in the games he was interim for me to say he could step in and manage a PL team without seasoning in the lower leagues first at the very least.

Playing harder than the other team to the extent we did in that Chelsea game is not a sustainable strategy. We were poor in the other two and scraped draws. It wasn't going anywhere. It won't until he gets real experience and it still might not after

But again, it's purely wishful thinking. But I do feel it wouldn't be a huge stretch to give him the job and he'd do well, especially if people are throwing Lampard about.

I'd prefer we didn't bring someone in like Lampard or Rooney where there would be an expectation of time that they haven't proven they deserve. So maybe Dunc is preferable but also preferable for me is just keeping Benitez until a real option emerges.
