What has been your lowest point supporting Everton?

Add to that the Clive Thomas semi
Oh ffs I forgot about that.
That was on a par with the others and probably even worse
The train journey back to Liverpool was sickening. We just knew we had been robbed of our chance and would lose the replay
FO Thomas
Oh and add in Notts Forest quarter final in 1967. Nightmare day
They are all coming back to me now

FA cup final 86..I know we were brilliant then but getting beat by that lot and having to get back on a Barnes coach with red [Poor language removed] on it was horrific

Losing to that lot in the semi final when Andy Carroll scored the late header was bad, as we were the better team on form and league position. It felt 10x worse knowing we’d always be typical Everton than losing an FA Cup semi. I didn’t speak for about 9 hours after it.

The Wigan 3-1 loss in the quarter final when half the team appeared to down tools.

Another typical Everton when we bottled top 4 and Alcaraz scored an own goal away to Southampton (did we score 2 that day?),

Special mention for the league cup semi against Chelsea in 2007, as it was before the aforementioned disasters and at that point I thought Everton could possibly not be the world’s biggest source of misery.

Yes. Coleman also had one.
My middle son was born that day

Rooney leaving. I remember that summer being amazing. Watching an Everton player set the world alight in the Euros, finally having something to be positive about. Not once during that tournament did I even consider he could leave, he loved us blah blah.... naivety of youth and all that.

Then when he left it was just the ultimate buzzkill, then he scores a hat trick on his debut ?

Fiorentina at home was another major buzzkill. I was still feeling positive afterward due to the level of performance we put in against what was a very decent side at the time. With that in mind, I went to Craven Cottage the following weekend looking forward to a strong performance only to be greeted with the ultimate wet blanket display. I think it was around that point my attitude toward Everton did a strong shift toward 'meh'.

Everton 1 Sheffield Wednesday 2.
1999.
Only player fit to call themselves a professional footballer was Benito Carbone who scored twice.

Awful ugly game. Terrible.
Good call. One of mine was the Wednesday game from the season before. In fact, I had to double check, this wasn’t the same game as I remember Carbone outclassing everyone (like DICanio did the season before- both at home near end of the season). Thankfully, Campbell hit great form after this defeat, to keep us up…the season before no one hit good form but somehow we stayed up.
