What has been your lowest point supporting Everton?

Probably when we went 2-0 down against Palace, I left the ground admittedly. Thought that was it, we're done and dusted and I can't bare to see anymore.

I hope we're never in that position again. This season has been very stressful so far but the squad is significantly better than it was, just do a bit of smart business in Janaury and we'll surely be alright.
It's the same every year....a bit of business in January and we'll be fine.. no we won't.

Being in the millwall end when we lost to them away in the FA cup.

Was the only way I could get a ticket and I knew what to expect but I was still shocked by the level of hateful racist bile being spouted by virtually every single millwall fan. Such a typical cup performance from us as well, we basically bent over for them and gave a lot of genuinely awful people a night to remember.

Was also at the cup final loss to chelsea as a kid which was brutal but that was more simple heartbreak and less degrading my overall faith in humanity.
I remember screaming at the telly when Digne gave away another needless foul on the edge of the box, (which goes without saying they scored from the free-kick) during that game. We just couldn't handle their set-pieces.

Oh no, this thread has found its way back just in time for the restart.

Any way the thread title can be Re-Edited to add 'Not including present time'
I just feel this thread is like bad omen on us and a lot of answers could be headed for a change.

I think we will. I've lost count the times I have had this type of discussion. And virtually everyone has said the same as you going back over a quarter of a century. I'll still support the team as I just like watching the game. But we'll always be crap.
There's plenty of trophies for us to win in the future.;)

worst I've ever felt at a game - gary mcallister last minute winner for the RS at goodison in 2001 with 2 kids at their first Derby

Such a miserable day that

One of the few times I've been in the posh corporate seats at goodison. Unfortunately lots of kopites there too

Everyone... Blue or red knew exactly what was going to happen the moment he stepped up to take that free kick

Especially after he moved it ten yards closer to the goal and the ref thought that was perfectly fine

If any of you experienced the 86 season. When we were by far the better team in the league and blew it then by far the better team in the Cup final and blew it. Let me tell you it didn't get much lower than that. Particularly who won the double when it should have been us. That journey home from Wembley. MY GOD!!!
Totally agree. Without doubt my worst day as an Evertonian. We played some brilliant football that season, but ended up with nothing. To lose the double to them made it even worse. Then later that summer, Gary Lineker left. That said, we would have been ectatic to have this kind of season these days. Shows how far we have fallen since then.

Here’s a cheerful thread for a Thursday evening. My personal top 3 is:

1. The 4-1 derby defeat under Benitez last season when they all sang his name

2. The 5-2 defeat at home to Watford under Benitez last season when Josh King scored a hat trick

3. The day Benitez was appointed Everton manager
You starting inane threads...
